GREEN POWER DISTRICTS

Every year, one community is chosen by Maine Green Power to join the Green Power District Challenge. Residents and businesses in a Green Power District collectively choose to support Maine-made renewable energy and sustainability by joining Maine Green Power.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GREEN POWER DISTRICT

Green Power Districts allow a community to show their support for Maine-made renewable energy, add local economic value and tout their reduced carbon footprint.

Make your neighborhood a Green Power District

During the Green Power District Challenge at least 100 residents and 10 businesses within the chosen community need to join the Maine Green Power program.
